The system consists of a number of data acquisition and control modules that extend the general gpio.Core base system with module specific functions. gpio.Core involves a standardized Modbus set of registers. Digital cards with PWM, frequency counters and filtered pulse counters are part of the range of gpio.net products, alongside the relay and analog cards. The system is made complete by the gpio.ipcore – the interface in IP based networks.

Two casing systems are available to house the IO modules - gpio.net can also be enhanced with a panel pc and a remote control.
