ARM9 Board with AT91SAM9G45
The Stamp9G45 is a small TFT/LCD and network compatible CPU module. All its components, like the AT91SAM9G45 processor and the memory device, are integrated onto a circuit board measuring 53.6 x 38 mm. The ARM9 Board is ideally suited for the development of mobile devices. Thanks to its integrated TFT/LCD controller, the LCD/TFTs can be custom-sized with a resolution of up to 1280 x 860 pixels.
Numerous connection capabilities

The AT91SAM9G45 controller supports a number of standard interfaces and peripheral devices, which users can directly access thanks to its 200 processor pins. These include but are not limited to Ethernet, USB, USART, 16-bit parallel bus, JTAG, SSC, SPI, ADC, AC'97, TWI (I²C compatible) and up to 100 usable digital I/O ports. There is a 1 GB NAND flash, as well as an integrated microSD card slot for storing information. The AT91SAM9G45 uses multiplexing on many pins, meaning that one pin can serve a variety of functions. The number of usable I/O ports depends on the required interfaces.
Industrial standard connector
The ARM9 Board Stamp9G45 can be connected to a carrier board using two 100-pin Hirose FX-8 connectors. This pin technology is employed in order to ensure as much reliability as possible when connecting two parallel circuit boards with small dimensions. The connectors are incredibly stable and can easily withstand vibrations and jolts, which has made the technology a longstanding favorite for industrial applications.
Modern ARM9 technology
The AT91SAM9G45 has a high-performance ARM926EJ-S processor core and operates at a frequency of 400 MHz. ARM processors are characterized by their low power consumption and simultaneously high processing power. Their low power consumption predetermines their use in mobile devices. ARM processors will be available for the long-term since they are licensed by most microprocessor manufacturers.
Linux operating system

The Stamp9G45 comes pre-installed with the Linux operating system. Linux offers all the functions that one comes to expect from a modern operating system. Its multitasking, virtual memory management and dynamically reloadable libraries make Linux ideal for a variety of applications. Because of its open source code, Linux is a well-documented operating system. A number of programs and tools are available online free of charge. In addition, the OS core can always be adjusted to meet specific individual needs.
The Stamp9G45 can be programmed using the standard GNU tools which are included in the package. The standard GNU tools consist of the GNU compiler collection and the GNU debugger GDB, among others.
Energy-efficient operation
Thanks to its broad range of power management functions, which are supported by Linux OS, the Stamp9G45 can effectively be put into permanent operation. Power consumption can be individually adjusted by using the power down or standby modes. If specific interfaces or peripheral devices are not needed, they can be manually powered off in order to save energy.
