BLE232_peripheral with 9 pin DSUB male

The BLE232 is an interface adapter that converts RS232 communication to Bluetooth 4.0. It is designed to transmit status messages.

It can be used to connect to any other Bluetooth device, such as a smartphone or Bluetooth sensor, that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or two devices can bridge two RS232 ports wirelessly. The BLE232 can be used with Windows or Linux operating systems or directly with microcontrollers. The BLE232 has a programming and configuration interface. The configuration can be done via the Bluetooth settings of your operating system or directly via the serial interface. If necessary and desired, the microcontroller of the module can be programmed directly by the user.

This BLE232_peripheral with one socket provides Bluetooth Smart on serial ports and is preset to a decentralized role via the RS232 connectors.

Application notes:

The BLE232_central is connected to the device that provides the data to be transmitted for the converter. The BLE232_peripheral is connected to the terminal device that is to receive the data for evaluation. The two converters thus form a bridge via radio.

Note: To obtain a wireless radio solution, two BLE232 converters are required, one with the peripheral role and one with the central role. In other configurations, appropriate software is required.
