Overview

The BLE232 Plus is an adapter that converts RS232 communication to Bluetooth 5.0.
It was developed to transmit status messages.
You can connect the BLE Plus to any RS232 interface that has a voltage.
A voltage of 3 to 16 volts is required to activate the Bluetooth module.

Variants

The serial interface of the BLE232 Plus adapter is available as a 9-pin DSUB socket and as a 9-pin DSUB plug.

Operating modes

You can choose between the two operating modes "peripheral" and "central" via the configuration.
Simply switch the module to the mode you need for your application.
The BLE232PLUS has an interface for configuration via AT command.
The configuration can be carried out via the BLE GATT service (BLE232PLUS-peripheral) or directly via
the serial RS232 interface (BLE232PLUS-peripheral and BLE232PLUS-central).

Application

The converter was developed to establish a wireless connection between a BLE232 Plus as peripheral and a BLE232 Plus as central.
Of course, you can also use the adapter to establish a connection to a cell phone or other Bluetooth devices.
You will then need the appropriate software in your end device. The BLE can be used via Windows, Linux or directly via the microcontroller.

Connection

The BLE232 Plus_central is connected to the device that provides the data to be transmitted for the converter. The BLE232 Plus_peripheral is connected to the end device that is to receive the data for evaluation. The two converters thus form a bridge via Bluetooth.
